Features 108 Divya Desam Darshan Guide

Divya Desam Temples are the 108 Vishnu temples that are described in the literature of the Tamil Azhvars (saints).
"Divya" stands for "premium," and "Desam" stands for "location" (temple).
The last two, Thirupalkaddal and Paramapadam, are located beyond the earthly realms.
Of the 108 temples, 105 are located in India, one in Nepal, and two elsewhere.
The milky Tirupalkaddal and the Srivaikuntam in Paramapadam, where Lord Narayana rules, are both geographical locations.
The Divyadesams are adored by the 12 Azhvars in the Divya Prabandha, a compilation of 4,000 Tamil hymns.
While most Divyadesams follow Thenkalai method of devotion, some follow Vadakalai too among others. These Azhwar saints are considered very holy and honoured as Divya Desams for the Vishnu temples they have visited and whose presiding deities they have revered and sung about.
The term "Divya" can be translated as "divine," and "Desam" can refer to a location or a place of habitation.
The Azhwars considered the Vishnu temples to be Divya Desams, the divine abodes of the Lord, making them extra special and holy.
These shrines were made holy by their visits, adoration, and recitation of sacred songs.
There are 108 of these Divya Desams, or Vishnus preferred abodes, of which 106 are actually located here on Earth and 2 are thought to be on a higher plane of existence.
The majority of these Divya Desams—83 to be precise—belong to the modern state of Tamil Nadu, while 12 belong to Kerala, 2, Andhra Pradesh, 4, Uttar Pradesh, 3, Uttarakhand, and 1 to Gujarat.
Salagramam or Muktinath, one of the Divya Desams, located in the neighbouring nation of Nepal.
According to legend, Thiruppaarkadal and Thiru Paramapadam are in the celestial realm and can only be reached by righteous souls with the help of Lord Vishnu when their earthly existence has come to an end.Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity of these Divya Desams and can be worshipped in a variety of positions, including sitting, standing, and reclining.108 Divya Desam Darshan Guide app has below feature108 Divya Desam Temple List with Photos108 Divya Desam Temples Map Locations108 Divya Desam Temple Map Navigation108 Divya Desam Temples in Tamil naduTemples details and Presiding dieties108 Divya Desam Temple contact information108 Divya Desam Temples easy navigation based on nearest location
